BIOGRAFIA
What started as a passion in youth became a lifestyle.
For more than ten years Francis G worked on many projects that had grown in music with him.
Engaging music in a professional way he studied at the "Professional Music School in Porto" and later at the "Conservatoire de Musique de Luxembourg".
In 2001, Francis G was working with the bands Web, Nordica, Pitch Black and Paradigma.
They’ve honoured the band Tarantula with a recording of a tribute CD "Twenty Years Of…”.
Having performed on four tracks and being the artist with the most songs recorded, Francis G proved that he was one of the most creative musicians in this special gathering.
Meanwhile in 2003 other projects were brought to the public, such as the debut album "Rebel Heart" from Nordica (Rock) and a video clip from the track number 3 "Give It All".
After that in 2004 the German radio-station "Munich’s Hardest Hits" released the "Melodic Rock Is Back vol. 5" that included this same song from Nordica.
In 2005 he released the album "World Wild Web" with the heavy metal band Web and a video clip from the track number 3 "The Valley of The Sacred Souls".
He also recorded a Nordica EP with three songs.
The versatility of Francis G as a musician links him with many different styles of music, always leaving his special touch of diligence as we could clearly hear in the Pandora-X jazz-fusion project.
As the years passed by, Francis G improved as a successful songwriter, a composer and a guitar player; in fact it was on guitar that he achieved the highest levels and virtuosity techniques.
Playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and singing in many groups, this "one man band" soon realized it was time to endure a solo carrier.
The pursuit of new challenges and a superior musical experience brought Francis G to the centre of Europe, where the environment of a classical musical background is a strong asset for those who chase perfection.
On the Christmas CD released by DNR Radio and MMA Productions one song pops out.
“We Wish You A Merry Christmas” is a traditional Portuguese song called “A Todos Um Bom Natal” by the Maestro César Batalha that Francis G rearrange and add a few of personal touches.
After a brainstorming to come out with the lyrics, the band went to studio and in no time the song was full with reindeers bells, Santa Claus laugh and a catchy tone with a tasty guitar solo and of course a marvelous children cheer at the end. When Francis G presented this song to the 2nd Luxembourg Brownies of the International School of Luxembourg, their response was immediately!
With jumps and laughs they had a blast singing and recording the song.
Everyone was astonished how the English version resembled so little with the original one; the rocky edge gave the song a new bliss.
Having composed songs for other performers, Francis in 2006 composes the music for the lyrics Love Should Be Yours for the Ukrainian singer Zlatyslava Roschford with more than 10000 CDs sold.
In 2008 Francis releases a Portuguese CD “Os Meninos da Alegria” with original songs for the primary schools in Porto.
Francis G still manages to record his debut solo album entitled “Higher” for the release in 2011. He invited the Victory’s drummer, Achim Keller and recorded at Area 51 Recording Studios in Germany with the famous producer Tommy Newton that also performed the second guitar solo in “Pedal to the Metal” song.
At the moment the new video clip Pedal to the Metal is being made and produced by Diana Rui.
